Personal profile

My professional path has been shaped at the intersection of legal rigour and the complexity of its practical application. Holding a PhD in Law from the University of Fribourg, the Swiss Bar qualification in Geneva, an LL.M. from the University of Tübingen, and a postgraduate diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from Queen Mary College, University of London, I have approached the law through a wide range of fields, encompassing both public and private law. This diversity of training has fostered a lasting conviction: a legal rule only truly acquires meaning when placed in its context and assessed in light of its concrete effects.

After practising as a lawyer for over twenty years, and subsequently serving as a court clerk at the Federal Administrative Court and as a legal adviser within the Federal Tax Administration, I have exercised the law on both sides of the decision-making process — advising on the one hand, adjudicating on the other. This dual perspective has shaped my practice. Today, it underpins my legal advisory work: navigating complexity, securing informed choices and developing legally sound strategies, while favouring, whenever possible, pragmatic solutions designed to avert the pitfalls of litigation.
